Dear Feministing: Answer your email
Oct. 3rd, 2009 11:10 amHey, remember multiple rants I've written about Feminism and Disability Fail?
Feministing Keeps Failing.
Here's a quote I read in an academic paper this week:
I think it's true. What do you think?
I have again asked someone at Feministing to email me and take my concerns - and the concerns of so many others in our community - seriously. We'll see what happens this time.
Feministing Keeps Failing.
Here's a quote I read in an academic paper this week:
Some disabled feminists have suggested that since women have been the traditional carers of elderly people, disabled children and adults, that some women activists may subconsciously regard these groups as symbolic of the chains that have bound them to the home (Hume 1990).
I think it's true. What do you think?
I have again asked someone at Feministing to email me and take my concerns - and the concerns of so many others in our community - seriously. We'll see what happens this time.
And that would make sense, re the chains.
I came across your comment over at This ain't Livin''s post about Feministing, and to be honest, I'm a little confused over what it means? I feel like there's something obvious tat I should be getting, and I'm just FAIL. Er, do you mind explaining further? Or pointing me in the right direction?
Cheers
Oro
