Okay! My first ridiculous theory is that Scotland Isn't There Anymore. Scotland has been referenced a helluva lot around Amy Pond, and I think it's a Thing. But I don't know what Thing it is.

But! Okay, bcholmes said :When the Doctor tells Amy to remember what he said when she was seven, he's wearing his coat again. I think the Doctor crossed his own time line."

And emee noticed the same thing, but me & Katie dismissed what she said because we didn't notice the worn-again coat. And it so conspicuously disappears, and I do not think that's a continuity error.

Okay, and remember the scene in The Eleventh Hour between when the Doctor decided to do his little trip up to the moon, and when he comes back two years later to pick Amy up? And you see wee little Amelia Pond with her cutest little pouty face ever?

And remember how time is re-writing itself?

I think the Doctor did go back to wee little pout Amelia Pond, and said something to her. I think Future!Doctor is going back and chatting with Amy to get something set up for Future Arc. Probably involving that Pandora-thingy that River mentioned.

I know, the theory is likely not all that impressive, and probably 907 variations of this post are on the internet right now, but I am happy, because I am now apparently fannish enough about this show to come up with theories.

I can't tell whether Scotland is referenced because Amy is Scottish (Moffat too!) and that's just what people do down here or..

I have no idea what the Pandorica is, although it sounds rather like Pandora.

I also have a terribly unsubstantiated theory that River Song could be the Rani.

I have indeed heard the Future Doctor Crossing His Own Timeline thing, AND I AM TOTALLY ON BOARD. Though I hadn't realized the Wee Amelia thing! SO GO YOU, ANNA.

omg. omg YES. I am loving all these theories so hard, and -- yes, Moffat and his playing with time, and Tiny Amy, and the Doctor's coat, and that TARDIS noise that Tiny Amy heard --

Someone somewhere mentioned - in the first episode, the duck pond, SO SIGNIFICANT and then disregarded completely. Duck pond, Pond, missing ducks -- there is a CLUE there!

My partner has a theory that Amy's mysterious connection to the crack is drawing her more strongly to the doctor the bigger the crack gets.

Also: He lost his coat because of the angels. The angels then never happened. Maybe that's the only reason?

I don't think that the coat-loss works that way - he didn't have the coat in the next scene. But! It could be nothing!

I think it's a different jacket. It looks the same, but it's a different jacket. (One theory is it's the Doctor in an AU. I mean, we know there's AUs in Who.)
