You know what time it is? It's 6:23 a.m.
Do you know what time the noise bylaws say that they can start the stupid construction work across the street? 7 a.m.
But I guess they can bloody well make all the noise they want before that while they drive up and set up all their equipment.

A couple of weeks ago they apparently got a temporary permit to work past midnight. I called the police twice, because the first time they told the police at 10:30 they'd be done "soon". They were working till 2:30. In the morning. On a weeknight.

Should have fucking moved when our lease came up.

Argh, it is annoying.

First time the delivery drivers to our local shops were told they couldn't deliver to the shop across the road before 6am the *****s decided to come and park under our window with the refrigeration unit running from 5am until 6...

All I can suggest is keep on complaining to everyone you can think of who might have authority to move them on. Eventually they might be forced to listen.

Urgh, we keep getting similar here. A couple of houses ago I lied and said we had a baby in the house - it was the only thing that got them stopped. Apparently children/mothers deserve rest, no-one else does.

And sometimes not even. But yeah that perception is HUGE. And my thought always is - new mothers aren't the only ones who can lose it due to lack of sleep, they're just the most visible demographic.

Right - I had to get up for work in the morning, but apparently that didn't matter, because I'm not a woman caring for a baby. People's perceptions drive me up the wall.

I couldn't get my neighbours to shut up by telling them that Don was in Cancer recovery. Because my former neighbours are actually bad people.

Suddenly living a couple blocks from the train station seems like paradise by comparison...(granted, I was also on the 10th floor)

We threatened to call the cops on our upstairs neighbours last night after they were wrestling at 2 AM. Sounded like someone was juggling bowling balls.

Neighbours suck.

Our building has a really high rate of turnover so by the time we finally get used to a set of neighbours - or they stop being jerks - there's a new set in. So we got rid of the heavy partier, and replaced him with someone with a band and an electric guitar that practices several times a week.

I miss the other neighbours - they were generally quiet except occasionally when their drunken guests would leave they'd be loud in the hallway, which was only occasionally irritating.. They're gone, and I'm dreading whoever moves in next.

They only did the "working till 2 in the morning" thing the once. Usually they finish up at around 9:30 p.m.
