Ah! Ok, yeah, because when I drew the analogy I wasn't in the car=wheelchair! mode, I was more thinking about the fucked up social implications embedded in the fact that giving up a car for even a few hours is considered, like, a huge burden that requires an immediate loaner, while losing a wheelchair for
is considered no biggie. There's an interesting parallel going on there with...the idea that disabled people don't
need to go out in public, right? I mean, what could they possibly have to do.
