I only wish hope and optimism were easier for me, you know? I can do love, but the latter two may well be beyond my capacity at the moment. And I was already feeling kind of awful for feeling so cynical in the last couple of years, but now I feel like I'm betraying Jack by feeling that way.

I will do my best, though. It's a worthy goal, for sure.
